I entered the Amelia’s Magazine, Shelter Card Quilt competition way back in June 2009 and my work was picked to appear in the final piece produced by Amelia and her team.
Amelia’s Magazine along with other artists and celeb’s were given a playing card as a theme to produce a piece of work for the exhibition. Their theme was the two of hearts. Amelia’s Magazine decided to open the brief up to budding illustrators like myself and asked them to design a piece of work inspired by the 2 of hearts. They then chose 50ish designs and patch worked them together to create a two of hearts quilt!
You can see examples here in this link.
My work will be featured alongside 49 lucky illustrators and designers. The finished piece was exhibited along side other famous works held at the Haunch of Venison Gallery in Burlington Gardens, London W1S 3ET. The works were later auctioned off to raise money for Shelter.
The show ran from the 24th-28th September 2009.
