On the 10th day of Christmas my true love gave to me….

A handmade gadget sleeve to keep my phone cosy this Christmas

Gadget Sleeve by Suezybees

If anyone’s looking for a gadget sleeve as a gift, look no further! Check out these amazing pieces by Suezybees. They feature lots of diffeent designs, but may favourites have to be her “Tweet Felt” sleeves.

Many of Suezybees designs are one off pieces and no two are ever the same. Sue uses a number of techniques to produce her work, including machine and hand embroidery, applique, and print.

Using patterned fabric and details such as buttons, felts and coloured cottons, creates cute compositions on these versatile little covers. They’d be perfect for phones, cameras and MP3 players.

Below are a selection of her sleeve designs.

Feeling all crafty again with Poppy Treffry

Poppy Treffry are a small but perfectly formed design company based in the quaint fishing town of Newlyn, Cornwall. In their studio they create beautiful machine and hand embroidered goodies such as tea cosies, bags, ceramics, cards and other household accessories.

All their work is inspired by their surroundings whether it be boats, beach huts or VW Caper Vans which swarm to the South West over the sumer months.

Every item is carefully and lovingly put together in Cornwall and their mission is:

“To continue to create beautiful pieces by hand, creating local employment and products that you won’t find anywhere else.”

As well as having their boutique in St Ives and their online shop they also supply their wears to many retailers around the UK.

Below are a few of my favourite pieces:

Please find more of their work on their funky website and Facebook fan page. You can also follow them on Twitter.

Finally, a big thank you to Poppy Treffry for allowing me to feature their work on my blog!
